Shelby Hills is a wonderful entry into East Nashville. Just up from Shelby Avenue and down to the river, it offers many smaller cottages and recent renovations. It’s also starting to have quite a few new builds as builders seek properties without historic or conservation overlays. Priced more affordably than its more historic neighbors yet still within walking distance of Shelby Park, Shelby Hills often offers a wonderful value, although sometimes the streets are a little steep for casual walking.
