Riverside is not a neighborhood but a street. However, it is emerging as its own location. It goes from Shelby Park through all of East Nashville, and has a grassy median and bike lane much of the way.
Shelby Hills is a wonderful entry into the East Nashville neighborhood. Just up from Shelby Avenue and down to the river, it offers many smaller cottages and recent renovations.
Historic East End began as a suburb of Edgefield in 1876. It has many beautifully restored historic homes.
Grand historic homes are the norm in Edgefield, and there are more affordable smaller homes, too.
When most people say “East Nashville” this is the neighborhood they are imagining.
McFerrin Park is a neighborhood in East Nashville that offers many great renovated historic homes, historic replicas, and homes yet-to-be renovated.
