Edgefield was the town located across the river from Nashville when Nashville was young. It was incorporated into Nashville and was one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city for decades. Grand historic homes are the norm, and there are more affordable smaller homes, too. The East Park Community Center is a fitness center located in the middle of the neighborhood. Historic Edgefield also has many of the best spots for watching Nashville’s fireworks which are usually launched from the LP Field property. Cafes and other local businesses make it a great, walkable, urban neighborhood.
