If you want a ranch (or rambler if you’re from Minnesota), then this is the urban spot you’ll love. The Shelby Bottoms Greenway, bike paths, and Shelby Park, are in your backyard. Prices are generally more affordable than historic neighborhoods, yet you can still walk to locally owned coffee shops, a vegetarian restaurant, cool café, and restaurant known for its award-winning margaritas. Also, if you find yourself frustrated by Nashville’s lack of basements you have a good chance of finding a home with a basement built into a hill in Fortland Park.
